53 days.
That’s how long I have been teaching Pure Barre.
It seems like yesterday I was super excited and heading off to Denver to start training.

It seems like it was yesterday, I was back home working my butt off to become the best instructor I could be.

Metairie Rd. Instructor Training
Becoming a Pure Barre Instructor is probably one of the best things that happened to me. For real.
The people I have met – the owners, other teachers and clients – are amazing. I’m so lucky that each and every one of them were placed in my life. I have learned so much with how to handle things at the blink of an eye, listen to and respect others, and be o.k. with the fact that sometimes, you are not able to please everyone.

As if I wasn’t a fan of Pure Barre before, now I swear by the method. I’m pretty sure I tell that to anyone and everyone who asks … and then share with them how after doing Pure Barre four days in a row for training in Denver, I saw a major difference. I could hardly recognize my body.
I’ve been taking a lot more classes now that I’m teaching, so that I can really be comfortable with the material and how things are to be done. It has helped me understand the movement, and how to get the most out of a class. Experiencing shaking and burning are a GOOD thing, and working against your tuck with every movement takes you further.
The reasons I’ve listed for loving being a Pure Barre Instructor thus far are just about me. There is more.

Our gorgeous studio.
It’s hearing what the client’s have to say, and the benefits they are experiencing. I still remember the first time a client came up to be after class and shared how she could already see a difference in her inner thighs. That was what I wanted and needed to hear.
Since then, I’ve had multiple clients come up to say how their bodies are changing, or they are understanding better how to get the most out of their 55 minute class. Love it.
I would not trade my decision and commitment to become a Pure Barre Instructor for anything. To hear how people’s bodies are changing, and to know that I have a very small part in helping that – I mean, it’s inspiring to me to work harder in my own class and to become an amazing teacher.
It was extremely hard in the beginning and very over whelming. While it’s still had and takes up a chunk of my free time, I am loving every single second of it. It was worth it. Totally worth it.
Xoxo.

I did not know you taught barre – Amazing.
I tried yoga, Pilates, all of it, HATED!
I love barre and go every Sunday. I want to go more, but can only afford one class a week.
Isn’t it the best? How cool to be a teacher!
Yes, it is the best :) and I love teaching!!
Pure Barre is exercise at its best. The technique is joint-friendly and builds long, lean muscles without bulk. You’ll be amazed at how effective the small movements are in burning fat and in toning and lifting all of your trouble spots, including abs, hips, butt, and arms. Forget about the stresses of the outside world while you jam to fantastic music and transform your body, one tiny lift at a time. I love to dance, do barre and yoga.
:) Yay! I agree with everything you just said!
Hey! I was curious about the training. How many weeks/hours is it? I know it is done in Denver, right?
I have a 15 year ballet background and have been taking Pure Barre for a month now in NYC. I know you have to be selected to train, but I just wanted to know a little bit about what the training entails! You can email me if you prefer that(:
Thanks!
