This weekend’s road trip did not go as planned … in fact, it didn’t happen. The interstate was closed and after I exited to go the back roads I moved 20 miles in an hour and a half. No, I’m not kidding.
After a few tears, call to my parents and talking to Alayna, I decided to turn around. I will be looking for flights next time, because that was the worst road trip of my life. Six hours getting absolutely nowhere.
Instead of letting my failed trip get me down, I tried to make the best of my weekend in NoLa.
Friday night I played Apples To Apples for the first time. Maybe it was the group, but I’m pretty sure that’s the best game ever!
Saturday, my friend and I hit up the mall and I found a few likings at Forever 21. It’s been so long since I’ve found at least one item at that store!
3 shirts/sweaters and a pair of booties for $85?! Yes, please!
Later Saturday, I discovered that pineapple is freaking expensive. I don’t get it. At least I saved money at Forever …
Sunday was filled with studying and practicing teaching Pure Barre.
Just taking a break at the studio.
Hitting up the Celestial Seasonings tea sale at Whole Foods.
And making my home a bit more Fall. I’ve decided that November will be my favorite month this year, and have kicked October to the curb. We have had “fall like weather” for a total of three days this month … the rest of the time it’s high 80′s, low 90′s. So … October, you’ve been dumped. November, I can’t wait for you to get there! Please don’t let me down!

Aww I’m so sorry that your road trip weekend didn’t turn out! You must have been so disappointed :( Hopefully you and your friend can hang out together very soon! It sounds like you had a good weekend despite the letdown though! Those finds from Forever look super cute! I haven’t been there in haha forever, but maybe I need to give it another shot?? Wish we could be shopping and snacking together!
