Breast Cancer Awareness.

By in Fashion, Life

As many of y’all know, October is breast cancer awareness month.

Many organizations support breast cancer awareness by giving some or all of the proceeds from the sale of certain items.

Let’s see … you get the shop, purchase something AND give back in the same transaction. Yea … didn’t think I had to twist your arm on that one!

Here are a few ways you can give back via your shopping addiction. Fine, this is how I’m giving back through my shopping addiction … I thought everyone was addicted to shopping.

In October all proceeds from the sale of items in Stella & Dot’s Breast Cancer Awareness Collection go to Fight For A Cure.

Loft has two ways for you to help. Purchase the LOFT Cares card, $25, and you will receive 20% off every purchase of $100 or more through November 15, 2012. You can also use it at the factory stores! 90% of the proceeds will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Not only that, by the LOFT has a live in PINK collection. They will donate 25% of the proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. You want to check these items out. I’m pretty sure I want at least on of each! Especially the pink dress!!

Pure Barre is offering these pink grippie socks for $10 with 100% of the proceeds being donated to the American Cancer Society to help fight breast cancer.

… and these are just the items I’m considering buying. SO MANY companies are participating. Here are a few articles that link to different shops:

Shop Wisely During Breast Cancer Awareness Month

It’s not all about the shopping and giving back, though. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is dedicated to raising awareness and educating individuals about breast cancer. So make your appointment for a screening today, and regularly check out this website for more information. Breast cancer is the second most common cancer and early detection is a woman’t best hope for successful treatment.

Xoxo.
