Hey y’all! I’m off on a little trip these next few days so I won’t be posting, but don’t worry y’alls little hearts … I have some amazing guest posts lined up for y’all!
First up is Jessica! Jessica and I went to high school together. Recently she started a health and fitness facebook page, Berry Balanced Fitness, which I started following it because I loved what she had to say and what she was sharing! I figured she’d be perfect for a What I Ate Wednesday party. It’s always fun to see what others are eating!

My meals for What I Ate Wednesday may seem like a lot, however its the quality of the food that makes it so healthy!!
I started my morning with 1 cup of oatmeal and 1 boiled egg. Nothing fancy, just added a dash of salt for flavor.
My first snack, which I had mid morning, was cottage cheese and veggies. I know what your thinking, “Cottage cheese and veggies, no thank you!” But, you don’t have to like cottage cheese, to love this!! Just mix garlic power in with the cottage cheese and add cilantro, tomato, sunflower seeds and alfalfa sprouts. Yummy!! What a great source of protein and veggies!
Lunch was a turkey burger on top a spinach salad. I seasoned the burger with Tony Chachere’s Spice N’ Herbs seasoning. As for the spinach, I tossed it in small amount of EVOO and black pepper. It was so good!!
My second snack was 1 low fat string cheese (divided in half) wrapped with 4 slices (2 on each cheese half) of turkey. I spiced it up with mustard, as a dipping sauce.
For dinner I had grilled chicken breast with homemade sweet potato fries and 1/2 cup of broccoli. I cooked the chicken breast with EVOO seasoned with onion and garlic power. One of my favorite sides is sweet potato fries. I sliced the sweet potato, seasoned with oregano and salt and pepper, tossed with EVOO, then baked them at 375 degrees for about 45 minutes, flipping mid way.
So that’s What I Ate Wednesday!! Lots of protein and vegetables with a low amount of fat. Oh yes, I also consumed about 80 ounces of H20. Hope you had a healthy happy day!!!
