This past Saturday, many men and women took to the streets of New Orleans and ran from bar to bar in red dresses. I’m not going to lie. Red Dress Run is probably my third favorite New Orleans event {after Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras, of course!}.
It started as a rainy day. Lame.
Brunch at my house went from 6 people to 2. I don’t blame them. Plus, there was more hashbrown casserole for Elizabeth and I {recipe to follow sometime this week!!} … oh, and more mimosas :)
Elizabeth and I cabbed it down there somewhere around 1. We were worried about the cabs, but they weren’t too bad. Plus our cab driver was pretty entertaining. We gave him the idea of coming up with some machine for cabs that would allow riders to pick whatever song they wanted to hear and it would play then and there. We told him it would make him millions and that we were giving the idea away for free.
Looking back, I’m pretty sure an ipod and iphod hook-up to a car radio already exist. Maybe that’s why he wasn’t so keen with our idea.
After he tried to predict that we would meet our future husbands at Red Dress Run {apparently he found us charming} we were off to meet up with friends.

SUCH a fun day!! It ended up being a gorgeous sunny day, perfect for day drinking and red dress wearing.
I wish I had taken pictures of all the outfits I love! Y’all would love them and I could use them as inspiration for next year! I for sure have to take it up a notch next year!
