Y’all know by now that I am a HUGE fan of brunch. It’s my favorite meal. Ever.
The other day, Blakely and I wanted to grab some brunch. We originally had plans to go elsewhere, but things came up and we wanted to go some place it little more low-key.
I suggested Feret Cafe.
Love that we can sit on the patio.
My meal was the Florentine Benedict with a side of bacon.
Yes, folks, that is FRESH spinach. So good!
Blakely couldn’t decide what she wanted so she went with a yogurt parfait and the egg sandwich on wheat.
The food, and their iced coffees, were absolutely AMAZING.
The service, however, yea not so much. I’ve been here before and had great service, so maybe it was just a fluke this day. Our entire breakfast, though, took TWO hours. It took them 40 minutes just to bring us our food!
Our meal would have been longer than two hours had I not gone inside to 1) ask for the check and 2) give her our cards to run after we waited for another 10 minutes for her to come get the cards.
Both times I walked in here, the waitresses were standing around and chit chatting. Totally unprofessional.
I hate to give them a bad review for service, but really, it was unacceptable.
Have you been to a place where the food was amazing but the service was horrible?

My God. I literally salivated when I saw that you got our FAVORITE breakfast at our FAVORITE spot! Sorry to hear that it was a less than pleasant dining experience though. That’s unfortunate. I’m really hoping it was a fluke so you can take me back there the next time I’m in New Orleans… ;)
