Happy Friday everyone! Now … to just get through the work day.
Lots has been going on lately. Some I can share, some will be shared at a later date. What I can share is as follows (ok, wow, sorry. Clearly I’m getting into work mode and sound like an attorney!) :
1) The Tone It Up Slim Down lasted three days.
Why? Mentally, I’m just not ready for the Slim Down. I felt restricted and was constantly stressing about whether I was doing things correctly. Stress for me = no weight loss. Timing is not right.
Am I sad? If course! I wanted to successfully complete the Slim Down, BUT at the same time, I eat right as it is and the Slim Down is to help you get ready for an event. For me, it was my 10 high school reunion (that I’m co in-charge over, hence the stress).
2) Within the next six months, I will be running THREE half marathons and I’m flipping EXCITED!
After my first half, I was addicted, but at the same time, my hips and knees were killing me. I took a step back, adjusted my training program and am ready to tackle these races!
3) Tomorrow Blakely and I will be getting CPR/AED certified!
This is the first of a few certifications for us. Can’t wait!
Blakely isn’t too concerned about passing, however, the first time I took the class and exam in college, I failed. My teacher, who was also my boss, told me what I got wrong and made me re-take the exam right away. I don’t think the Red Cross will be as nice, so I’m a little worried! haha.
4) Circuit training is going to make a reappearance in my workout schedule.
Yesterday, I came across this circuit by PB Fingers.
Well, I tried it this morning and could barely get through it.
Jump Squats, Ski Jumps and Burpees … here I come!
So yes, that’s a little update on my life!

Wow, THREE half marathons! That is impressive…I just joined a new gym that is kicking my butt, but maybe after a few more weeks of these workouts I may gain the confidence in myself to go for a half marathon. The Jazz half always does look like fun….but for now I am ok with just my half of a half marathon…Oh, and good luck with the jump squats. I hate those.
um…3 races…i don’t think i’d be too upset about the slimdown! Good luck on all – and i love circuit training!
