Hey y’all! How is everyone doing today? Things are good around here. It’s finally Friday AND I’m heading to my Family Reunion this weekend! Family time is exactly what this girls needs right now.
Did I mention my sister and I will be sharing a room … slumber party! Hehe. Let’s just say I may or may not have been a terror to my sister as a child. Let’s hope I’ve matured ;)
Ok, now time for my Friday Obsession
1) Muscle Milk in my coffee.
I’ve tried the chocolate flavor & cookies and cream flavor. I love them both. Think milk & flavoring but without the bad stuff and throw in some protein.
Yes, please.
2) This Sofia Pearl Bib necklace as my newest statement piece from my Stella & Dot website.
Becoming a stylist and selling their jewelry was the best decision ever. I’m obsessed with pretty much everything the offer … including this necklace!
3) Roasting vegetables.
Y’all saw these roasted tomatoes on Wednesday … which reminds me, I owe y’all the recipe.
Last night, I roasted some fresh broccoli. OMG. Healthy CAN taste good! The broccoli was soft, yet a little crunchy. Foodgasim!!
Next up … per Cait’s suggestion, roasting chickpeas!
4) Having one to a few small cheats everyday versus my old one entire cheat day.
This article really opened my eyes. I took one of the suggestions from the article and applied it to my own life. Today is day 5, and I’ll just say it’s a change for the better.
… apparently, I have finally found my way :)
Part of the 4 month bestie challenge agreement is to ONLY get on the scale Monday morning. Well, I accidentally fell on the scale this morning and couldn’t help but look! I’m FINALLY seeing some weight loss :)
5) Tone It Up’s Under the Sea workout.
This has to be my absolute favorite Tone It Up workout. I’ve done this routine at least once a week the last two weeks, if not twice a week.
I love the moves. They remind me a lot of pilates/Pure Barre type moves. Oh, and it’s hard! Win win.
I’m all about ENJOYING my workouts!
6) Detoxing my apartment.
I have way too much stuff. Seriously. Anyone who knows me will agree.
They always say your apartment reflects your life. Well, my apartment right now is a mess and filled with stuff I don’t need and/or use.
So this is one way I’m trying to help myself get out of whatever funk I’m in (which ps, seeing the pounds drop a little helped too!! :D).
There y’all have it! My current obsessions as of this Friday!
What are you currently obsessed with?

I am trying that muscle milk thing ASAP!
Oh heck YES! I love roasting chickpeas! One of my favorite simple meals is throwing chickpeas and broccoli on a roasting pan under the broiler for about 7-10 minutes. Delicious!
Hey, I just came across your site.
First…WOW that roasted broccoli looks AMAZING! I love roasted broccoli and use it to top off pizza or mixed in some spaghetti squash, or simply just straight out of the oven. Broccoli is such an underrated food.
I too live in New Orleans, and while my site, http://www.FedUpFood.com is not specifically about NOLA foods, I do focus on a lot of healthy options (You might be interested in some new products that were just sent to me). While I am born and raised in NOLA, I am trying to find more healthy restaurant options uptown (where I live). I love my sushi, and Lebanon’s is always tasty, but do you have any other recommendations? I am just curious, because I have gotten in a routine of going to my current favorite places, but I want to change things up a bit.
Oh…and great site!
Thanks!
As for places, I’d suggest: Kyoto, Ninja, Refuel, Cafe Rani, Byblos, Hana, Baru, Sukho Thai, Mona’s and the two new places: Fresh Bar and Magazsin … that’s all I can think of right now, but that should also be a good start!
Thanks! I have been to many of those. I love eating outside in Rani’s courtyard…and Sukho Thai is my favorite thai place in the city. Byblos is good BUT Lebanon’s is a go-to lunch joint for me.
I am going to have to check out Magazsin (I have heard good things). Never heard of Refuel. I am really excited for Fresh Bar (I have been waiting for a good salad-shop to open up here after I have spoiled myself with them in other cities).
Hopefully you will post a review of Fresh Bar once it opens. Thanks for the recommendations.
I love that necklace! I hope you had a great time this weekend!
I love the theme of the Under the Sea workout from TIU! So cute and beachy :)
Glad I gave you a good idea for veggie roasting! Can’t wait to see the tomato recipe. PS it looks like the link you inserted to my blog is broken! Thanks for linking up, love!
I hope your family reunion went well! Yay for family love!
I am all about roasting, too! Tomatoes and broccoli/asparagus are my current favorite veggies to roast–so so so yummy!
Right now I am 100% obsessed with Lily Pulitzer–I need to be a millionaire RIGHT NOW. I want everything. I am also obsessed with decorating our guest bedroom!
I’m so sad I didn’t make it :( my mom got sick, so we ended up staying hime.
Ahh I love Lily too!!
