A Lovely Arm Workout

… and by lovely, I mean killer.

Hey y’all! How is everyone today? Things are great on my end!

  1. It’s Friday.
  2. There is a concert tonight I’m super excited about.
  3. And … I may have gotten a salaried offer from work yesterday.

Ok, #3 is a huge deal :D. I’m SO excited and thankful!! I know it will entail working more, but a steady paycheck and benefits? Yes, please!

So today I wanted to share with y’all yesterday’s arm workout. It killed me.

I’m not usually a fan of “spot” training, instead, I roll with full body. Well, once a week now I want to try to do some spot training.

This week … it was arms. I chose arms first because honestly, I tend to neglect my arms unless I’m in a class that exercises them. I figured what a great place to start!

So here’ goes …

5 minute cardio warm up

With two 8 pound weights {I usually use 5} I completed two times:

10 bent over rows

10 bent over fly {or bent over raise}

10 shoulder press

10 chest press in a bridge

10 peck fly in a bridge

10 overhead extensions in a bridge

10 triceps kickbacks

10 lateral raises

I found this website that has pictures of the exercises, if you are lost or anything.

Give this workout a shot! Your arms will thank you the next day!

    Love these circuits! Definitely time to tone up the arms with the slew of bridesmaid dresses I will be sporting this spring. If there is anything I spot train, it is definitely my arms!

  2. I definitely neglect my arms. All I do is running and ab workouts. I don’t want muscular arms, so I don’t really mind until I’m doing something like rolling fondant, which requires some arm power. Worse yet is when my arms are sore the next day. I’m so weak lol

  5. Yay congrats on the good news on the job front! What a great start to the weekend! I totally neglect my arms but I am trying so hard not to these days so I have better full body tone and strength. It’s a work in progress.

    I don’t usually spot train, as my other “areas” feel a bit neglected…but if I do, I do arms all the way baby! Nothing like a lady with toned arms :-)
